Avni J. Jashari – Biography

Managing Director & Managing Partner

Avni J. Jashari has extensive experience in management, legal and financial matters working with international and local organizations. He has 30 years of experience, out of which 23 years of experience in managerial positions: 9 years as Deputy Managing Director, 10 years as Director of Finance and Budget and 4 years as a Deputy Director of Finance and Budget. His practice focuses on commercial law, civil law, criminal law, corporate governance, fraud examinations and special projects. He brings his extensive experience from public sector into the private sector.

Mr. Jashari was in charge for managing and coordinating the liquidation process of 599 Socially Owned Enterprises in accordance with the law, and implemented strategic, management and oversight policies of SOEs in liquidation. During this time, there were prepared more than 300 distribution reports for creditors of SOEs in amount of 62 million euro. He ensured exceptional increase of rent revenue from SOE assets during years 2014-2017 at around 18 million and around 17 million euro for years 2018 to 2022. He was Chairman of the Expert Working Group of PAK for amendment of the PAK law in 2018 and has coordinated or participated directly in the preparation of over 40 internal regulations. He was a key witness for PAK in three international arbitrations in value of over 120 million euros. During 2017 he was a key member of the PAK legal team that defended and won the court case at 10 million euro with an international company.

He was a Director in the Board of Directors of the Prishtina International Airport from Nov 2004 until Jul 2008 and a Member of the Audit Committee from October 2005 until July 2008. From August 2005 until July 2008 he was Chairman of the Slot Coordination Committee of the Prishtina International Airport. 

Mr. Jashari has the following academic qualifications: Masters of Law (LLM) Contracts and Commercial Law (nov 2022, Faculty of Law, UP), Masters of Banks, Finance & Accounting (MSc) (jan 2014, Faculty of Economy, UP), Graduated Lawyer (sep 2020, four year studies, Faculty of Law, UP) and Bachelor of Computer Engineering (jun 2006, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computers, UP).

Mr. Jashari has the following professional certifications: Certified Auditor (CA) (2007, SCAAK), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) (2007, ACFE), Insolvency Specialist (IS) (2010, SCAAK) and Chartered Public Finance Accountant (CPFA) (2016, CIPFA).

Since may 2024 he is an Arbitrator with the VIAC – Vienna International Arbitration Centre. He is listed in the arbitrators’ list with expertise in investment arbitration and banking & finance arbitration.

In June 2011 he was appointed as an Arbitrator in the Permanent Tribunal of Arbitration at the Kosovo Economic Chamber. In June 2021 he was licensed by the Ministry of Justice as a Bankruptcy Administrator.

Avni’s mother tongue is Albanian. He has excellent skills in writing and speaking English. He is fluent in Serbian, both in writing and speaking. He has basic knowledge of German.

Hobbies: Gardening – flowers and fruits, chess, hiking, motorcycling and reading.
